You’re paying way too much for your business telecoms.

It’s true.

You’re paying way too much for your business telecoms.

How do we know this?

Because the majority of businesses who have a mobile services contract in place for their telecoms are dealing with a network directly. As a result, the network will almost always be charging them for either more than they actually need, or for things they don’t need at all. The network will connect you, bill you, and respond to any network failures, but in terms of everything else, it’s all on you as the customer to manage. And if you don’t indeed proactively manage things, you’ll end up paying above and beyond. Think breaching usage allowances, uncontrolled roaming, and paying for unused services. They all lead to oversized profits for the network – and oversized bills for you.

On that note, did you know that the word ‘unlimited’ actually has a caveat of a fair usage policy? It’s unlikely that you’ll exceed it, to be fair, but it’s not impossible and it’s certainly costly. You can read more about that (and other hidden profits) in our blog, simply titled ‘Is there such a thing as too much data?’ It’s an eye-opener (and a wallet opener, depending on how good the network’s marketing team are at doing their job)

But we digress.

The reason we know that most people reading this blog are paying too much for their business telecoms, is because they don’t have a managed mobile service in place. This is totally the norm, because networks don’t offer that option as part of the package they put to you. If they did, you’d have too much control over your contract and your spending, and that’s not really in their interests, now, is it? For a start, a removal of wastage and overspending would eat away at supplier profits, so it’s a massive commercial conflict for the network. Let’s add into this fact that networks know that in order to offer you a package that truly works for you, they’d need to take time to get to know your business – and that’s not what they’re interested in doing at all. No, you need someone with the knowhow to do some hard negotiating for you, here – and it’s not right that you should put this task to your already busy IT team.

The good guys (and girls) like us here at Comms Circle are one of a handful of reputable companies who support businesses of all sizes and industries by offering a package of managed mobile services to their clients – including mobile device management, sourcing, staging, repairs, recycling and security. Feel free to read about what those things actually mean and cover in our blog about ‘All of the tech, none of the twaddle. In offering this kind of service, you’d be forgiven for thinking that you’re paying extra for a middle man, rather than just sticking with what you know in going direct to the network. Now, in the majority of cases, going direct to anyone for anything is always going to be tempting, but in the case of networks with business telecoms packages, their entire business focus is to generate maximum revenue, by supposedly gifting you things that ultimately serve them better than it will ever serve you.

It’s a bit like when you have no desire to buy any new clothes whilst you have a Saturday afternoon mooch around the shopping centre of your choice. But then you see that a store you don’t even really want to go into has a sale on, and suddenly, the clothes you hadn’t even looked at twice when they hung in front of you at full price, are now all too tempting, so you make a purchase. You didn’t really want the item in the first place, but it felt like a good deal when it went up on ‘offer’, so you grabbed it (and no doubt a load of other stuff that had never caught your eye or your interest previously, either). It’s a false economy, and that’s how a network will get you. Believe us when we tell you that if your WiFi ever goes down for a period of time and your data actually has to kick in, you’ll notice it.

Comms Circle don’t allow this to happen to our customers. We’ve got the skills, tools and experience to work with you and your business to find out exactly what you want, exactly what you need, and exactly where you can be making better use or bigger savings on your mobile contract. What’s more, we keep on top of this for you via ongoing assessment and reporting, so if there are any changes to what you need or what you’re doing, we can be proactive rather than reactive, leaving you to simply get on with the task of driving your business forward. And, if we think you’re on the pathway to getting stung by unplanned or out-of-contract charges, we’ll not only warn you, but steer you right back onto the right path, too.

At Comms Circle, we’re not middle men, we’re just the good guys who support you and your business with business phones, mobile devices and internet – but always with a human touch.
